Kuehne+Nagel Finland participated in the Match Made in Finland mentoring program organized by the Confederation of Finnish Industries, which began in January 2025. This group mentoring program is designed for international students studying in Finland, aiming to enhance international students’ employment opportunities in Finland and increase employers' understanding of the skills and potential these students offer.A total of 10 companies from various industries took part in the mentoring program, with Kuehne+Nagel serving as one of the corporate mentors.
"Our mentoring group consisted of 11 inspiring logistics students. The group was very diverse, with students from five different countries," says Petra Hautala, Kuehne+Nagel's National Human Resources Specialist.
The program kicked off in January 2025. The mentoring included three sessions where students received valuable insights into industry trends and skill requirements, as well as support for applying for jobs and internships. The themes of the mentoring sessions were: Finnish working life and culture, networking, and a CV & LinkedIn workshop. Additionally, the program included a company visit to the mentoring company. The students who participated in the program showed great enthusiasm and interest in our company and its operations:
"The mentoring sessions provided great insight into shaping our future careers, and I really appreciated the opportunity to connect with such supportive mentors and peers," says a student who participated in the mentoring group.
Kuehne+Nagel would like to thank the Confederation of Finnish Industries for this wonderful opportunity to contribute to the employment of international students in Finland, as well as the students who actively participated in the program.
