We have taken a significant step towards more environmentally friendly transportations by acquiring new temperature-controlled trailers, known as thermotrailers. These thermotrailers are based on the best and cleanest technologies available on the market. The acquisition has been made in collaboration with our long-term partner PNO.
“The acquisition of thermotrailers is the result of several years of planning together with PNO. We decided to invest in quality, efficiency and in the latest technology,” say Ilkka Heino, National Road Logistics Manager, and Lauri Vanala, Traffic Manager for Thermo Transport.

With the new equipment the CO2 emissions related to maintaining transport temperatures can be reduced by up to 25 percent per year. Investments in new thermotrailers support both PNO’s and Kuehne+Nagel’s efforts to reduce their carbon footprint as a part of the companies' sustainability commitments.
