How the Celebration of Easter, First of May and Ascension Day 2025 Will Affect the Transportation Schedules

Our offices and terminals will be closed on the following days: Good Friday 18.4.2025, Easter Monday 21.4.2025, First of May 1.5.2025 and Ascension Day 29.5.2025. These holidays are celebrated not only in Finland but also in many other European countries. Therefore, please note the exceptions in pickup and delivery schedules. For further information, please contact your Kuehne+Nagel representative.

Road Logistics

Easter

• The last export departures from Finland will be loaded on Thursday 17.4. Therefore, bookings need to be sent by Tuesday 15.4.
• The last import departures from Europe will be loaded on Wednesday 16.4. and Thursday 17.4. Therefore, bookings need to be sent by Monday 14.4.

First of May

• Bookings for both export and import shipments must be sent by Monday 28.4.
• The last export departures from Finland will be loaded on Wednesday 30.4. 
• The last import departures from Europe will be loaded on Tuesday 29.4. and Wednesday 30.4.

Ascension Day

• Bookings for both export and import shipments must be sent by Monday 26.5.
• The last export departures from Finland will be loaded on Wednesday 28.5.
• The last import departures from Europe will be loaded on Tuesday 27.5. and Wednesday 28.5.

Please note the possible congestion at terminals and the few days' delays in deliveries due to public holidays.

Easter

• The last pickup day for export shipments is Thursday 17.4.
• Regular pickups will resume from Tuesday 22.4. onwards.

First of May

• The last pickup day for export shipments is Wednesday 30.4.
• Regular pickups will resume from Friday 2.5 onwards.

Ascension Day

• The last pickup day for export shipments is Wednesday 28.5.
• Regular pickups will resume from Friday 30.5. onwards.

We will inform our customers of any other changes related to traffic and shipments on a case-by-case basis.

• For export LCL shipments, please book by Tuesday 15.4.
• For export FCL shipments, please consider any potential deviations in closing times provided by the shipping companies and the varying service hours of terminals:
  • Helsinki container terminal, Vuosaari: closes on Thursday 17.4. at 23.00 and opens on Tuesday 22.4. at 6.00.
  • Rauma container terminal: after Thursday 17.4. at 14.00 all services based on prenotices sent by Wednesday 16.4. at 12:00. From Friday to Monday 18.4.-21.4. all services are also only available based on prenotices sent by 17.4. at 12.00.
  • Kotka container terminal, Mussalo: closed from Friday to Monday 18.-21.4, for containers in transit and international traffic.
  • Kotka cargo release, Mussalo and Hietanen: closes on Thursday 17.4. at 17.00 and opens on Tuesday 22.4. at 7.30.
  • For other ports, we kindly ask our customers to contact our customer service.

First of May

  • Kotka container terminal, Mussalo: closed on Thursday 1.5., for containers in transit and international traffic.
  • Kotka cargo release, Mussalo and Hietanen: closes on Wednesday 30.4. at 16.00 and opens on Friday 2.5. at 7.30.
  • For other ports, we kindly ask our customers to contact our customer service.

Ascension Day

• For export LCL shipments, please book by Monday 26.5.
• For export FCL shipments, please consider any potential deviations in closing times provided by the shipping companies and the varying service hours of terminals:
  • Helsinki container terminal, Vuosaari: closes on Wednesday 28.5. at 22.00 and opens on Friday 30.5. at 6.00.
  • Rauma container terminal: on Thursday 29.5. all services based on prenotices sent by Wednesday 28.5. at 12.00.
  • Kotka container terminal, Mussalo: closed on Thursday 29.5., for containers in transit and international traffic.
  • Kotka cargo release, Mussalo and Hietanen: closes on Wednesday 28.5. at 17.00 and opens on Friday 30.5. at 7.30.
  • For other ports, we kindly ask our customers to contact our customer service.
