Back The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT) strike continues

The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT) has rejected the settlement proposal for the stevedoring sector – strike continues.

The Finnish Transport Workers' Union (AKT) and The Finnish Port Operators Association have not reach a result in the collective agreement negotiations. AKT has rejected the settlement proposal for the stevedoring sector. This means that the strike at the Finnish ports will continue.

The negotiations in the terminals, trucking-, oil- and tanker sectors have not progressed, therefore the strikes will continue until the 21st/22nd of February. Full list of impacted terminals and companies can be found from the AKT website

The strike has stopped the normal container traffic at ports and has affected domestic and foreign truck and trailer traffic. The strike has also caused extensive exceptions to delivery schedules and transport capacity.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the strike.
